This software start a slideshow once a folder containing the pictures is specified. You can set several time parameters for the show.
ScreenSplitterDiashow starts a slide show of pictures in a specified folder. The show directly starts. You do not have to wait, as with many slideshow gallery programs for getting the show created first. As soon as you click on the start button, the PC screen splits and the two pieces move aside revealing the first picture of the show. All the ePictures in the folder are shown one by one. You can specify the times the first picture is to be shown, the pause time between pictures etc. The controls are slider based and hence easy to set. these are named speed of show, new picture each 1-60 seconds and hide start image after etc. You can select transition effects from a drop down list.
There are several things that are a little confusing about the interface. First off, start button is right at the top. So that the tendency of the user would be to click on that. There are some default settings, so a show will start with these defaults. The logical sequence would be to let the user set the time and other parameters and then have a start button to get the show started. Lack of a preview also is a disadvantage. The naming of the time parameters also could be somewhat confusing. You can specify a start image and if you want the shuffle to be on. Otherwise it`ll show the images in the sequence they are in the folder. The visual effect is good, but bare bones. No frames, no demarcated play area etc. Thus this rates only a good two stars.
